Manufacturing Change Note Engineer for on - Going Contract in North West of England
The successful applicant will be individually responsible to determine the impact of any change defined by Engineering and reporting against the Safety, Quality Cost Delivery and People criteria and targets. To work with Design, RSP and Supplier to ensure any change is targeted to an MSN and have the appropriate drawings from A scheme through to DFM and ensuring they are signed off as fit for purpose, define any Assembly Network impacts and process planning impacts defined for the effected area (ASO`s), define the tooling requirements / manage initial supply of tooling for introduction of new changes, to understand and ensure Key Characteristics are included in DFM and monitor completion of the change through Delta modification status reviews.
The successful applicant will also be individually responsible and accountable for the definition, implementation and reporting of key project milestones, within a defined area.
Key interfaces and relationships will be maintained with a number of internal and external (RSP, Customer, supplier) bodies, at all levels through to senior management.
The role will not necessarily result in leadership of a team, but the job holder will be accountable for co-ordination of activities requested of individuals outside of the M.E. team and Business.
Key Skills:
CRITICAL EXPERIENCE / SKILLS (MUST HAVE)
HNC/degree level or equivalent - unless the applicant can demonstrate a clear ability and number of years working knowledge, in relation to the position.
•At least 5 years working knowledge in Manufacturing Engineering and wing assembly in particular.
•A clear ability to review and shape Installation Drawings from Schemes through to DFM
•A clear ability to communicate with all areas of the Clients business including Design, Procurement and Partners at the project stage of aircraft launch.
•A working knowledge of Clients Manufacturing Engineering Processes and Procedures including PRIMES, SAP.
•An understanding of Structures, Assemblies and Equipping and able to influence DAP on a new Project.
•Knowledge of CATIA v 5.
•An understanding of Key Characteristics, datum structures and tolerancing requirements.
•Able to communicate at all levels and produce reports to management.
•Ability to work independently under own initiative and within a Team to meet programme requirements and targets.
•It is vital that the job holder acts as a Team Player at all times.
•Computer literate. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE / SKILLS (DESIRABLE TO HAVE)
•Knowledge of quality standards for aerospace components.
•Manufacturing planning experience for aerospace components.
•Full MS Office IT Skills.
•Knowledge of ME processes and procedures
