The Company
A hugely successful and expanding manufacturer of FMCG products. From this site they manufacture of broad range of branded products for the UK and European markets. Through their highly automated production facility they are able to turn raw materials into finished products within a matter of hours. A fantastic opportunity has now arisen to join this blue chip organisation for a manufacturing technician to take on engineering and production responsibilities.
The Role
70% of this role will be leading a production team and working towards meeting production targets. You will supervise a small team of operators and look at ways of improving overall production efficiency. 30% of your time will be dealing with breakdowns on your production line (this will require electrical or mechanical engineering skills). This is a position with broad responsibilities where you will be equally responsible for maintenance, production and looking at ways to improve the efficiency and productivity of your line.
The Candidate
Candidates for this position must possess an engineering background, either electrical or mechanical. A passion for production and hitting targets, as well as the ability to think strategically and introduce continuous improvements to your line are essential. You will be a good communicator, with leadership skills who is motivated by success. Pay increases are regularly awarded when you meet your production targets.
