To meet the challenges of introducing new products .An opportunity has arisen for a New Product Introduction Manufacturing Engineer, reporting to the New Product Introduction Team leader.
Key Accountabilities include.
•Developing and validating cost effective technical packages (including technical manufacturing instructions, stage drawings, tooling design and order) with built in quality
•Acting as interface between plant and project teams, supporting project led IPT’s
•Ensuring that the plant addresses and delivers project requirements for new products
•Lead the way in identification & implementation of new methods of manufacture and technology in support of the engine projects
•Implementation and sharing of best practice within Rotatives and the wider Manufacturing Engineering community
Person Specification
For the role, you must be qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline or possess significant relevant Manufacturing Engineering experience. In addition the following attributes are required:
•Ability to network effectively at all levels in the Man Eng and Shop Floor/Operations environment
•Experience with production planning tools and processes including Unigraphics, TIMES and PDM
•Experience with building in quality to the manufacturing process using tools such as PFMEA and Control Plans
•Strong customer focus and a proven ability to deliver against tight deadlines and short timescales.
•Self-motivated and willing to adapt to change
•Knowledge of engine components and manufacturing processes
•Experience of technical change control to processes and procedures
•Ability to take the lead on assigned tasks including design drawing reviews as part of the DFM and quality activity.
