A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Systems Safety Engineer to join an independent consultancy leading the field in the provision of consulting services and technical recruitment to the defence, transportation, marine and energy sectors globally.

From offices in UK, Netherlands, France and Libya, our client’s flexible approach allows them to deliver the highest quality services to major international corporations, government bodies and small to medium-sized enterprises alike.

As System Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for providing rail systems assurance, supporting a variety of clients in a diverse array of projects, from project engineering to developing safety assurance documents, risk assessments and development of standards etc.

Qualified to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of Hazard identification (HAZOP, HAZID. FMEA), risk assessment, safety case support/writing and consultancy work within the railway industry.

In addition, you will have experience of safety management systems and safety culture as well as experience of cost benefit analysis (CBA) and ALARP studies.

Ideally, you will also have experience of probabilistic safety assessment, reliability, availability and maintenance (RAM) studies, accident and incident investigation and human error identification.
